Deep down inside, who do you write for?
I write for myself and an audience second.
I really write for me. Frankly, I'd love for the world to read what I write, but the ultimate goal is to please myself.
Myself--because I have to write.
Deep down inside I write for me, I write because I have to not because I want to. It was never my aspiration to be a writer, writing was placed into my spirit.
I write for myself from my heart. My brain gets involved somewhat along the way as well.
For the pleasure of it.
I write for me. It is what I love to do, and my only tears are for my failing sight.

Without a doubt, I most write for me. Rainer Maria Rilke once wrote, "If you wake up and can think of nothing but writing, then you must write. You are a writer." This so aptly describes me. There are so many times I have frantically grabbed napkins or fliers and just started scribbling, because inspiration comes ONLY at the times in which you least expect it. Some stories long so desperately to be written that you can only be a vessel putting those stories onto paper. Then I can again be at rest.
Actually, I write for my readers...because I know everything else. :)
I write for me. I've kept diaries since I was old enough to write. It's something that I have to do.
Funny answer: Hot chicks with huge boobs.
Serious Answer: Me, I just got to get these stories on paper...even if no one else wants to read them.
Deep down inside, I write for myself, I have feelings of certain topics and situations, and I have a need within me to bring those situations and feelings out in a story for others to see and comprehend.
I write for "me" but keep others in mind. Will this sell if I write this, etc.
People who are fighting or in war with each other when really there should be a better solution. The future generations. |
