Are you equally good at telling stories orally?
I am striving to improve my writing style, photographs and oral delivery all the time. I can be entertaining, sometimes off the cuff, other times I make careful preparations.
I hope so. I am a podcaster.
No, not at all! I absolutely love listening to a story-teller but am way too shy to do it myself.
I don't know - but I could be, I think. All skills require development and practice, and this skill I have not developed. Good oral story tellers are rare. They tend to make great comedians - Dave Allan comes to mind in this respect.
It is a different ball game. I believe the style of oral story telling is often quite different to what is written down because it's a different process.
Apparently so. I mean that I have heard it said a few times.
I don't see myself as an oral story teller. When I was a child I had the ability but was way too shy to speak up. That trait may have stayed with me into adulthood, as well. Writing is the outlet that lets me communicate without doing it "live".
I like to think so. My dad was a really good story teller and I believe I inherited that ability from him.
i think i am yes.
No, I'm terrible.
I believe I'm better at written words, but being a creative writer for an advertising agency has enabled me to orally communicate my thoughts.
I prefer writing stories, but when I was child in grade school before I learned to write well, I told stories to my friends which we later acted out.
No. I'm terrible, and I tend to suffer from stage fright.
Nope... unless they are ghost stories...
I like to think so and people usually appear to like to listen. My kids did, When they were young my wife and i had a routine where we would read them a story before they went to sleep. I would make up different stories around the established characters. My kids loved it. I wonder if they still would. |
