Are you equally good at telling stories orally?
Yes, I am a teller of stories at family gatherings just ask my wife, sons, daughter, nieces, etc. They after years can quote back the stories I have told about my travels, some of these stories told too many times.
I love to tell stories but I don't think I'm as literate when I do. Still, anecdote is an esstential part of good speaking and I speak at conferences and other places lots! (-:

Not bad but often only if I've told the story before and have a basic pattern to work on.
I have no problem relating long and complex stories and events, and can do it with a bit of passion if the I can relate to the story.
I prefer to reflect longer, rather than making up a story on the spot. I really prefer to write, but I am comfortable speaking before a group if the occasion arises.

Yes, but sometimes I go on a bit to long. There is no opportunity to re-write orally! But its a great exercise because I get instant feedback on whether the person is bored or confused. Even if they don't say anything I can tell if they enjoyed it. I try different versions on different people to get a really broad idea of their level of interest. |
