What is your favourite type of customer?
A client that has a clear understanding of what they want to communicate and has done ample research on the product or service.
The ones who's eyes light up when they realize that everything I create was made from used materials. Whether they purchase or not, I just love that moment of conversation.
We love customers who trust us enough to give us authority to "do what we please" within a specific budget. That way, we can just let the creativity flow from us to create a truely unique peice.

Ones who believe in your expertise and allow your creativity to flow through a project without losing sight of what the client wants and needs.

One that knows EXACTLY what they want, and can appreciate your professional opinion.
The one that has a clear view on what his goals are. The one that knows, that his own taste might not be the taste of his audience. The client that you can talk and argue with to achieve a more brilliant product/design.
My opinion differs from some designers. My favorite type of client is any client. Occasionally you have a difficult client, but it's how you approach them.
Musicians, Singers, other artists.
My favourite customer is the kind of customer that knows what they're looking for and presents all that information upfront.
The best customer that one can wish for is the one that does not want to change too much in a design. This usually only leads to disaster and those designs are often totally ruined. I like a client to just tell me what they want and then leave me to it and give me the freedom to veer away from their original plan and make it into something even better. |
