MOVIES-TV
What is the best movie than you have seen in the last year, and why did it seem especially good?
The film 'Drive'. One of my favorites of all time (I love it so much I've considered getting a tattoo of a scorpion in honor of the film!). I resonate with the approach to the story and main character- it is exactly what I try to do with my acting and performances: to create modern fairy tales and explore the contradictions, flaws and power of the hero.
That's so hard - I see so many films!!
Errrrrrrm... I'd have to say The Avengers. It had everything - comedy, romance, action, tears. I've seen it about 5 times now - I loved it.
Oh and Cabin in the Woods was awesome too.
"Drive". It's a masterpiece.
I rarely watch movies anymore. Time is precious and most are bad. I loved "Breaking Bad" I watch a lot of documentaries
Ā BOUT PORTANT (POINT BLANK): Impeccable action sequences (editing, timing, choreography), a great story, cinematic characters (real, but not hyper-real), spectacular twists and turns, beautifully lit.
well, not this year but I LOVED BridesMaids it made me laugh so hard and the comedy was written so well and all the characters in the film were perfect.
I enjoyed it tremendously.
Thor, quite frankly, because it was a well-directed superhero movie with real story and not over-the-top bad writing and even worse acting. But that's Kenneth for you
I know it's a bit of a chick flick but I liked Black Swan, because it was striking and original.
The Raid. Because the director knows who and what the target audience need.
That's tough--I haven't seen some of the movies I want to this year, like MUD and KON-TIKI, but for now I'll go with BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD. I love its magical realism and the way it captures a child's view of her world. |
