Do you enjoy post-production, or do you prefer to leave that in the hands of other professionals?

I enjoy all aspects of what I do, regardless if I truly know what I'm doing. As for post-production, I allow the professionals to handle that, but I do like to be included in the process.

I enjoy it enough to take it into consideration when filming, but prefer to supervise others and spend more time working with people rather than machines.

Post production is the creative process. If you don't want to get your hands dirty, don't direct.

I treat my work like my child. I want to watch it mature. This includes being part of post production. A poorly edited film is just as bad as.a.poorly shot film so I want to be sure the quality meets my standards.

I am a post-production rat. In the past I was an editor and a motion-grapher/3d artist, so I'd edit all the work myself if I had the time. I'm an expert with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, 3D MAX, Avid, Protools, etc. I love to work closely with the editors (very unique, very peculiar type of people they are though).

in the hands of other professionals

Post is my favorite part.

I also edit and I really enjoy post production but with my own projects I leave that to other professionals, it's good to focus on one thing sometimes. And collaborating with other professionals always helps

As someone who worked as a photo editor in newspaper and magazine, the editing process is important to be involved with. The Coen Brothers are a perfect example of not only producing and directing, but editing their films to bring to life their vision.

I feel much the same way and as such, I believe my vision can only be told when I have full control of the editing process.

I love all aspects of the creative beast.

No thanks.

I love post-production but not on stuff I have shot. At its best film is collaborative so needs more than one mind.

All the editing I've ever done has been good fun. I like the idea of the whole film coming together, and Final Cut Pro is so much fun to use, you could get lost in it for hours! :D

I LOVE post-production and putting together all the footage we've collected. It gives me chills seeing a finished work come together.

I do most of the post but if its something i cant i trust my co creators entirely
