How do you promote and move your work?

Whohub

I promote my work through user testing and of course my portfolio. I go out and ask people what they think, and what else can be improved. If I get enough people that want to buy it, I'd make some more and start selling it to vendors. Since I'm still pretty early in my career, I havn't gotten to this point yet.

At first I started out like everyone else - newspapers, flyers, direct mail etc. Then I realized how powerful the internet has become and I use it to it's fullest. Between all my websites, blogs, forums and everything else I do online, my SEO's are VERY high. If you Google "Color Specialist, Charlotte" I'll be the first few pages of information. That's how my clients found me - via internet. I also receive clients via word of mouth which is the best kind of advertising you can get. I've lost a lot of money experimenting with the yellow pages and mailings. I find that if someone needs color for their home, they are going to search the internet and they can find me there - call me - we can have color for your home in a little over an hour!

It's auto-promotive...

Direct mail, mass email, and door to door. Really don't like cold calling, mainly because I hate it so much when I receive it.

Word of mouth
Brochures
Online web site.
Radio advertising

I update my blog frequently.

Through my blog and other interior design sites

Thus far..I promote via my website at www.coloaide.com
through my blog at http://coloraide.blogspot.com
Facebook at Color-aide,
and locally through a commercial office furniture dealer.

Twitter, flickr, behance... pretty much any networking site works great for meeting new people.

well by advertising it through social network and going to local authority distributing A5 flyers etc

Advertise on print and on the net.

Word of mouth and repeat business has been an exceptional form of gaining clients. When I find a nice person, hang out, get to know them and still like them, we are all set to do business. These relationships really are the key to success.

I rarely advertise in print media and rely heavily on word-of-mouth and online sources to 'get the word out' about our great products.

SEO, Twitter, Facebook, and many others

I make use of social networking sites to promote a design I've made say for example a tshirt design up for voting. I tell my colleagues about my new art whenever I get the chance to.
