How do you promote and move your work?

Whohub

I promote my work with my website, blog, Twitter, Facebook and the usual networking.

Basically word of mouth from clients and friends. Some clients find me from my fashion columns in magazines, my fashion shows, interviews, and personal contact with potential clients in fabric stores and local events.

Mainly social media and word of mouth.

I am a huge believer in online social networking. Because I have spent time getting to know Blogger, Twitter, and Facebook, I have been able to find opportunities and meet people that I wouldn't have met otherwise. It is important to stay on top of new technology and get your name out there.

Networking, website, carefully selected work for non-profits, client referrals.

Through networking, my website http://tom.thrilly.com and all the other usual outlets.

My customers are the best promotional tool for me. I am always getting referrals. I have my site www.isryldesigns.com and business blog www.isryldesigns.blogspot.com.

I'm leaving my card behind at companies and try to promote myself through my customers. Also I'm trying to get in contact with other known artists and work with them together to make something spectacular. This for improvement of my work and to expand my network.

I have sales representatives in Los Angeles and New York.
I also attend major trade shows in New York, Paris and London.
I have my blog (www.andsoiwhisper.com) where I showcase my work and also my website (www.petitsfournier.com)

Referrals, word of mouth, forums and online directories.

mostly word-of-mouth. I have done designs and the customer recommends me to someone else who recommends me to another, the cycle starts. I also use FaceBook and Twitter as promotion tools as well as the "givens"- flyers, ads, business cards, and such

By being sociable and open to colaboration, sometimes by participating to competitions.

I attend local networking events for "trunk shows." Online, I do most of my marketing and showcasing. Etsy.com, twitter.com (@realjackie is my username) and Facebook are my biggest venues. I also email my previous clients to remind them what I do.

Word of mouth has been my greatest ally. I'd suggest entering competitions, and placing your work online as well. Networking, however, seems to be the best investment you can make in yourself and business.
