How do you promote and move your work?

This is a hard one. Word of mouth, international websites, and through recruitment.
By social media, my blog and different magazines. I just did a interior design job for the Hollywood star Dolph Lundgren, that ended in august, so my clients are well awere about that and it´s really good advertise for my new projects.
I also been in several magazines in Sweden with my house, blog and moltazdesignshop.
Just deviantArt and my blog. Because no one would want it. Sometimes I look through 99designs.com, but I think it's difficult for me.
Especially while I do not do, but I think mostly this is helping me, of course, twitter

Through Blogging and Social networking
I have a great word-of-mouth client base. I've also gotten clients from constant contact campaigns & Facebook. Facebook in particular has an incredibly vibrant design community. Most of my contractor & architect referrals come from LinkedIn. I have print collateral at design centers in San Francisco & LA and have gotten clients from those campaigns as well.
Networking, through clients recomendation, I recently uploaded a portfolio because in the UK people don't know me and they always ask for portfolio
For now on, maybe make more design that interesting and nice. Make everything better. And study hard for my subject, because its not easy. I must walk in two ways. Design and finance.

To promote myself and my work, I have to keep up with social networking. I post my work on multiple design sites and portfolio showcase websites to get my name and work out there. And, you always have to keep updating with fresh new work. |
