What has been your career path? How have you arrived to the point where you are? What did you do before?
My former jobs included consulting and project management roles.

I started out building sites for friends and family, and soon earned a reputation as a reliable developer. Once my name started getting known in the local area, I was approached by several small companies to do their sites for them.
Over the years, I've veered away from the design aspect (due to a lack of artistic talent), and focused more on ground-up development, or code consultation for other developers/designers.
I ended up here by sheer accident. More luck than anything else.
Received a BA in Journalism. Concentrated in writing for the web. Worked as an online editor for newspaper/magazine then fell into marketing online and social media strategy.
I am now in my 3rd year as a social media specialist growing pages like crazy.
I worked in the most under technological field known, Outdoor Recreation. I started out of college doing camps and therapeutic adventures with troubled teens. Even though I didn't work with technology I have always been a gear head. My first computer was a C64, I learned basic on it. As for film and media, I did my first short film about 11 years ago. It was called "The Crew". Shortly after that I decided I wanted to get into podcasting and eventually into vidcasting. I guess that's what really got me into creating online media. It was easy enough to switch over when people started asking me to make content for their business.
Still new...but very eager and passionate

I was lucky in coming from a very creative family, apparently most of my Grandparents were either musicians or artists and so from an early age I have been lucky to be creatively minded.
I always had an affinity to design and 3D art and since have pursued this for both work and hobby, the interactivity and web media is just another way of expressing it as well as a powerful media to promote it.
I studied animation and design and have since just been fortunate to have a wide spectrum of projects to diversify my portfolio over the years.
I was a teatcher. Now i am retired. last year I met people with the same hobbies -internet, video, photo and we began a transmedia project.
Flash Frame Weddings was founded by a group of creative filmmakers who's background is in the film and television industry.
Being nearly 19 years of age I doubt that I have "arrived" anywhere, but from childhood and adolescence I was very appreciative of colour and composition, and found a great interest in computers and technology in later years.
I started out in pirate radio then moved into podcasting discussing the hobby. |
