The fact that I get to do what I do.
Designing.
Not much. I lie in bed until the bed literally kicks me out then I sit at the computer. In the old days, people used to design. Nowadays, with the proliferation of computers, and people's low design literacy, it's very hard to set oneself apart from the rest.

I enjoy working with people, creating new things, and building a business.
Life! My family.
My daughter, and the ability to do what I love. I feel very passionate about what I do.
I look forward to finding out what I can achieve, doing all I can with what I have. If I am ever disappointed with myself, and I sometimes am, I wake the next morning, trying to do what I didn't the day before.
Living Life...Design for me...is freedom...being my own boss, allows me the independence I love as a person and as a designer. Each project consists of a new team of amazing creative and analytic thinkers and doers and each of us bring something new to the table. In the end, it's about the steps that got you there....

Family. But passion for design helps.
Design is everywhere in everything from the flowers outside my kitchen window to the tire treads on my Jeep. I get motivation from all art forms - dance, film, painting, and especially sculpture.
My daughter's cartoons also inspire me. She seems to create these crazy characters from thin air. She is a true creative genius at 11.
A desire to to do good work and to have a good time doing it. Making the world a better place by making a positive visual contribution.
Basically to experience the beauty of being alive, in human form, on this fantastic planet. I love volunteering with injured animals, talking to people, traveling, eating good food. I strive to become more excellent every day. |
