Have you received any awards for your work in the field of design?

Everytime I sell a piece of jewelry I consider that greatly rewarding. Just knowing someone is wearing something I made makes this the best reward ever.

In school I received the MCA MVP Award for my work as an Art Director in the agency. This meant a lot to me as my peers helped to make this decision. I was also nominated for the Bensimon Byrne award and the Excellence in Advertising award.

2007 Communication Arts Award - Interactive. I help create Kuler that is part of a service from Adobe.

I won first prize for Deutsche Bank's Identity Art competition.

I am not interested in any industry awards - I gauge my work by what my customers and website readers say about it.

several national store reviews and lots of editorial, but a direct award is still on the horizon!

Why yes I have! I have received many Graphic Design USA awards, Desi awards, Big W awards (from the Westchester, NY ad club), a Creativity award from Art Direction magazine, design for Public Relations for Librarys award, and a few Healthcare Design awards.

Not officially. People have said that they like it and to be honest, being asked by someone to design or create something is an award.

We have received awards for our design work and have featured in several design websites. As Joomla specialists we were interviewed on two occasions by Joomla core founder member Peter Russell. Peter said "Chris, who owns Navega Bem Web Design, lives on the idyllic sub-tropical island of Madeira producing some of the finest Joomla! websites on the planet."

I received a D&AD student award in 2005, and two of my sites won the best travel website over the last couple of years.

Not so much an award as a great honour to have designed the Millenium Messages Time Capsule which resides in the Swan Bell's Tower, here on the Perth foreshore. At the time I sketched the first designs, double-sided DVD discs containing messages from people all over Western Australia had to be stored in a 'time capsule' - one that you wouldn't ever want to bury - the technology that exist now makes those discs seem antiques already, so who knows what the tech will be like when it is scheduled to be opened in 100 years. I just hope they can read the messages contained on those discs!

I won an award for my design on www.duchyoriginals.com, and have had several pieces of work published in design books – but generally, my input in briefs go un-referenced. Designers are the unsung heroes... which works for me.

No, I have not. I have wonderful clients and retail accounts who have made it possible for me to remain a successful full-time designer for almost nine years, but while my jewelry is widely purchased, I am not widely known, so I haven't been nominated for any awards.

I would like it though, it would be fun. The career I have now is fun too though. Maybe some day I will win "Longest time in business without winning an award".
