PSYCHOLOGY
What are some simple things that one can to do to fight stress and anxiety?
Breathe, and understand why stress and anxiety are "go to" emotions for you.
There are so many ways to perform a simple action which contributes to personal aspirations or the betterment of a current lifestyle. I encourage people to make a list of what must be done in this regard and at least do one item so it can be crossed off. The process of doing something that is personally important helps attribute to a sense of usefulness. This also puts the mind to work. Even failing at a task is part of the mission to get it done. Otherwise, there are numerous ways to help the mind and body to relax, such as exercise and deep-breathing. The process of simple, on-the-spot meditation can be learned about anywhere on the internet.
eat regulalry
take gentle exercise
have a regular sleep hygeine program
have a strong support network of old friends for when times get rough (as they always do)
remember that everything changes, and so will your mood.
laugh as often as possible
love if you can
imagine the object of your fear as a mouse with a mircophone
use the wonderful strategy of prioritising things that need doing, so you don't get overwhelmed
please, stop copying of what others' do, which would take you to the side of comfort
I think that every person is different, and everyone should find the method that works best for them. Some of the things that I have used in the past or have seen work are; listening to music, creating art, writing in a journal, exercising, and cutting out pictures from magazines.
Get out of your own way in your life! Do more of what you need to do to be happy, and less of the distracting and denial stuff that just absorbs time but adds no value.
well in our time, it is not easy to be stress free! I have never suggest that people should stay away from stress and anxiety. But they should learn how they manage it and even transfer it into something different which make you relax
play music, walk at a certain pace (see Arita, 2010), and one other activity not fit for an under 18 audience.
