Way too many.
Not really. I am just starting to find items for still life work.
I am not a collector of any one thing, but I do buy art that I like
Yes, I have a couple Dave Deal pieces and a personal Steve Austin watercolor.
I collect hoards of bits and pieces, things that wouldn't be of any use to anyone else from bottle tops to scraps of material. I love incorporating found objects within my work....it makes my illustrations that little bit more visually exciting.
I am a strong believer in the saying: 'One mans junk is another man's treasure'
I collect teabags and thread to create my art. I am also a bit of a fashion nut and shopping is definitely one of my weaknesses. Thank you fashion designers!
As a collage artist, I collect all sorts of odd stuff. I'm always picking scraps of this or that, old books, paper, comic books... you never know when that little scrap might be the exact thing that makes an image really resonate.
Any prints I can find by Mucha.
I have built up a pretty good library about Horror films, Gothic Literature, myths, and legends, but these are all working reference books for my own writing. I would like to collect film posters, and I have an original 4ft x 6ft cinema poster for “Young Frankenstein” which I bought for a tenner when I was 18, which is a prized possession!
Fabulous blogs. I have a serious addiction.
BOOKS OTHER PEOPLE ART . KNIVES ALL KINDS OF STRANGE THINGS
Yes I collect birds (figurines, clothes, art), my middle name is Ikaikamanuokalani, which means "Mighty Bird of the Heavens" in Hawaiian.
I identify with birds a lot. I think of them as my anima/animal counterpart.
I wish I could fly away and be free like them.
My middle name also makes me think of angels, since they are the mighty "birds" of the heavens.
I also collect some rocks (from nature outings), leaves, string and other found objects, but nothing in particular too religiously.
OH, I COLLECT BOOKS! That's something I can't deny or live without.
