Is it possible to teach creativity? how?

Whohub

I think so and see it constantly when the scholars creatively construct their webpages. They discover their creative sides when creating webpages, which then translates into their writing.

Many years ago a great teacher that was highly respected by peers and administrators stated that great teachers are born not made. I believe that statement to be true. Great teachers know how to be creative and flexible and how to seize the moment. Regular teachers seem to have a very hard time learning how to do that. So no, I do not believe that it can be taught.

Yes. Students like challenges and if you don't go all the way through an objective they will be creative and produce wonderful things.

It is easier to teach creativity when students are exposed to a variety of creative activities of which they can immediately apply their own techniques that are assessed by the instructor. From this point I believe creativity can be discovered and nurtured which then will lead to higher levels of personal creativity. Too many times there are too many rules that accompany the instruction of creativity which stifles creativity in its place. Broad boundaries should be determined so that creativity can be achieved at all levels. I don't believe it is possible to teach creativity but instead. nurture and help develop it.

Do use working models

Teaching mandates a knowledge that is recognized to be existing. Creativity seeks to transform or modify the existing. There are not necessarily complimentary to each other. Its only when existing knowledge is understood to the hilt is the student moved to create a continuity of that experience.

Yes it is.
By giving students access to information and challenging them to collect, analyze and organize that information so that they will become active learners, and consequently acquire new skills.
It is also obvious that education requires interaction between good teachers and motivated students. Good teachers inspire and educate students in methods of creative problem solving .

I would rather say to motivate and encourage the creativity.

If I can teach creativity, then it wound not be creative at all.

Yes I believe so. How? By giving your pupils the chance to be creative instead of spoon-feeding them.

No. You can help a student find his or her creative interests and areas, but two things you can't teach a student to be are creative and gifted.

Yes, it is..

By identifying children's individual and collective learning needs and planning, preparing and delivering instruction that caters for the full ability range within the class.

I found it is little difficult to teach creativity.

Yes- upto an extent- you can teach creativity
A student generally imitates a teachers way- so when you are creative in teaching- they become automatically creative in learning

oh..definitely! that's when they have this NIE program...its helps students to be creative by using the newspapers in education..and also helps the teachers as well....

Of course..... We must have some examples to show.
