EDUCATION
What kind of relationship do you have with your students?
I have an excellant rapport with my students. Identifying their individual needs and helping each of them where they are at.
I believe that my younger students typically thought of me like an uncle or a much older brother -- someone who was on the same team, and thus a pointless target for their (natural at that age) rebellion.
I play several roles - as a facilitator, moderator, educator and guide.
We only teach to adults (over 18 years old) and the relationship with the teachers are often close and very friendly.
Friendly but professional.
one of respect, understanding, ethical and motivational.
I do my best to maintain relations of mutual respect, trust and reliance with my students. They are free to confide in me and seek my advice, while at the same time, I do not allow them to get too informal.
Inclusive and collaborative, we learn from each other
A mix of directness and authority. They know they can speak frankly and that I will be as just as possible. |
