Tell us about your favorite wines and other drinks to accompany food.
That's a loaded question, I live in the wine lands.
Each dish has it's own wine.
wines and food pairings are really up to the foodie, i like a really cold watermelon and mango smoothie when i'm eating outdoors
i am a sucker for sweet wines.
just plain water
i haven't drink wines, but i have taste cold Charlemagne (non alcoholic) red wine,it's good and make a warm taste.
I'm from Oklahoma so I just like coke tea or water. I'm more about the food than the wine. I like wine by itself.
i dont like wine, ussualy beer or coke
I am a diehard proponent of white wine with almost all foods. Take, for example, Willakenzie Pinot Gris or Pieropan Soave Vignetto la Rocca. The fruit and acidity are wonderful counters to everything from steak to cheese. Red wines of quality are complex creatures and you have to know how to make them shine brightest. Red wines need to be properly challenged, and that takes tons of trial and error.
I don't drink wine or any other sort of alcohol, so I generally drink water with my food. I don't think it takes away from the food at all, though. Plus, water is supremely good for you.
sweet red wines is okay.
but i would rather have something got or warm, like tea, after a heavy meal.
As a very general rule I like zinfindel or shiraz with beef, pinot noir with lamb, pinot grigio with chicken and fish, and sauvigon blanc with pork. But, as always, it depends on the dish.
