I love kids and I love teaching them and passing them not only my linguistic knowledge but also values on how to become great persons!

I started out helping my neighbors with their English homework. I tried different things to explain some rules. My main idea was making them understand the language in a fun way! Then I took some teaching courses and here I am today!

I started in business right out of undergrad school (Providence College) when I went to work at R.I. Hospital Trust, a commercial bank that was headquartered in Providence, RI. I was an auditor and that experience helped me learn how a bank works and how internal audit is an important aspect of accounting. I have used my experiences as an internal auditor and my background as a bank examiner in the classroom. Soon after earning my MBA at Bryant University, I started teaching part-time at a local community college and at Bryant (www.bryant.edu) and enjoyed it. That lead me to leave the business world in 1986 and pursue teaching full-time at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. I have been there ever since as an accounting professor (and also the internship director). I have also held the position of Assistant Dean, but my first love is teaching.

I think education is a very important for socio-economic development. I have tried this way to contribute with teaching and research to improve development in my country and in other areas of the World.

I have been an elementary shoolteacher here in the Netherlands for 11 years now.

from an early age always enjoyed working and helping children

I had not planned to teach but I found that once I worked in an area that I was passionate about I could not help but teach others, it was infectious

Ever since I was in elementary school, I have wanted to do something with children. I would play school during indoor recess with my friends and loved playing with baby dolls. I decided in high school that I wanted to be a teacher after going through a rough time and having several great teachers guide me towards a brighter future. I never looked back!

Always wanted to be a profesor.:)

I studied English throughout my teenagehood and came to Spain to study Publishing. Here I got in contact with Vaughan Systems, a company leader in Spain in teaching English as a second language. I did a training course, where I discovered the pleasure of teaching.

My parents guided me to opt for this profession.

At first, I never imagined becoming a teacher. I just realized that I had the passion when I was already doing it. During college, the continuous painstaking commitment to deadlines honed me to become prepared for teaching. In short, it's the discipline I learned that made me realize the value of what I am about to share to my students.
