I started about 12 years ago,When I turned 18.I was already in the restaurant business for about four years.Mostly bussing and dish washing.A prep cook at my job called out one night and my manager asked me to fill in just making salads heating up soups and sauces and a few simple pasta dishes.

i start to cook when im 18years old.i do this job because i think its fun and it's nice to know about cooking western food or japanesse food.love it.

started cooking when i was a little girl help and looking at my mom prepare the family dinner and that was an inspiration for me.I never stop learning this wonderful art.

My father got me started. One of my dad's many independent career paths was owning restaurants.

I started cooking at a very young age, from as early as I can remember, I was in the kitchen with my grandmother, who was a chef

cooking for me started when I was a small child. I often ask the cooks or people i see cooking the dishes, i always ask them how to make that what they were doing. I'm always intrigued by the way food comes out from their raw state apply heat and some other process and it turns out delicious. i grew up always having this hunger for learning new dishes. experimentation and new flavor pairings. i'm into molecular cuisine right now, just a scientific approach to cooking. new cooking methods as well. trying to learn, self teaching for now.

I grew up in a family of 6 kids as the oldest girl I was the next in line to cook dinner when Mom wasn't around. I was baking cookies alone as soon as 9 yrs. old. One of my brothers was a chef when I was younger and I would help him out on Saturday mornings. My mom motivated me to graduate high school early and get right into culinary school.

since age 9, my mother

I started about 12 years ago,When I turned 13.Mostly helping out and dish washing. My granfather was a great example for me to follow and to grow my dreams come true. nd than I knew that my drream was becoming a great Chef someday...

I started when I was but a wee lad helping my grandmother prepare Sunday family meals. So...I guess it was my grandmother that me started.

Well I started from a young age really, but speaking on a professional level..I started college at the age of 17 right after I had graduated from high school.
I would have to say my mum was definitively the person that got me into cooking..from a very young age, I remember being in the kitchen and helping out, baking cookies and cakes over the weekend.

I was interested in cooking ever since I was a teenager as my mum was an awesome cook. She would turn out the tastiest curries and food for us. However, I actually started cooking only after I got married in 1977. However, my passion for cooking really peaked in the last 5 years after I took voluntary retirement from Canara Bank in Bangalore India where I worked for 24 years. I then took out all my grandma's and mum's old recipes and through trial and error bacame a master of them.

When I was 8. I would say my Grandmother.

since i was young. i started cooking some fried foods then i tried some stews, pastas and made some desserts.
