When did you start cooking? Who got you started in this art?

Whohub

I have been cooking since I was a child. And making chocolate for just over a year. I got started by default...I am the oldest of 5 children, parents were never around and I was responsible for the family meals.

I've been cooking since I remember. I have "typewriter" recipes from 1993, when I was 11 years old. And, with help, I cooked on Sundays at home for my family. I even remember cooking before that, eggs, breakfast on sundays for Mom and Dad, cookies, etc. My mom and my grandmother are the main influences when I was young. Later on came my cousin, Ivan Kisic, a great Chef in Perú.

I am Italian, so my Mom and Grandmother got me started at a very young age.

I started as a 4-5 years old, with my momy and dady.. ^^

I Got Started when I was Around 14 working in my Dad's restaurant. We always used old world recipes created b y my grandmother and great grandmother to create delicious italian dishes.

I started cooking when I was very young, probably around 5. My papa is a chef and restaurateur, Jacques Reymond, and he always spent time in the kitchen with me on Sundays.

My gran taught me to cook when I was very small

I started cooking when i was 17 years old, at first it was a way of leaving school as my parents told me i couldn't leave school unless i had a job. But it soon became a passion and 17 years later i haven't looked back

I cooked a little bit in high school, and really started cooking for myself when i was away at college. My mom got me started in cooking and baking and encouraged me to go to culinary school.
