Use the Force, Luke...
Hehe... It's pretty much intuitive to me. I mean, 18 years ago, I didn't see myself sitting here responding to this interview because my work was featured online!
I started with drawing, and then painting. Somehow, I find that 2D art just couldn't satisfy me as much. I needed something more... and then I started making costumes. I suppose it was a natural progression from 2-dimensional to 3-dimensional!
Intuition, intuition, intuition.
The next step is always intuitive to the artists. I stop action on one piece and move to the next. The process is the guide.
I never know until I put one foot in front of the other. The art guides me.
of course there is a guide, they are knowledge, experiences, imaginations etc.
all of them come whenever I need them.
Intuition, trust, faith, forward movement...
It will come by itself..
After a while you find the next step. It can be right in front of you or it can be hidden underneath a big rock. It depends, but looking for it is the best part. When you find it, it's a great kick but that won't last long... the search starts again and so does the fun, frustration, the eagerness, the depression, the enlightment... a rollercoaster wich I love.
i just feel.
there are, there are!
i m just working on one also, but art is so a huge part of different things that it can confuse you like it did me first. some people think to put a hat over their work and call it art in thinking it would help them to get fast and rich (even some did it this way).but art is so many different professions that it is hard to speak in general.
good art schools give guidelines, artist groups, institutions make their own guides, but good artist have to manage their work with a good communication and also with a good marketing.
No one has ever explainted "The Artist"of all fields. Many believe creativity is
not something already in the mind, it is exactly what the word denotes,
it is created... Something never before seen on the face of the Earth,
now that is power!
Creativity needs no guides. Exploration needs no guides. Art is exploring creativity.
I have my own routine. Most of the time i know what to do next. ^_^
I just start, and I know. The process holds the seeds of completion.
The key to that is evolving of the mind.
