|How do you balance work with relaxation?
I surf and walk my dog and get enough sleep.
I also love what I do, so it does not feel as taxing as a 9-5 would.
By spending time with my family.
still working on that
I have a happy home life and great children and wonderful grandchildren
I'm a Libra. It comes naturally!
I'm goal oriented. Once my daily goals are met, then it's off to the beach.
LSD... get your mind out of the gutter. It means Long Slow Distance runs.
Walk In My Shoes Foundation is my relaxation....I love doing anything having to do with it
Sometimes we do better than others with this topic. We are both very driven, service oriented and very busy. We try to work in blocks so that we get time to do fun things along with all the work. We communicate a lot about goals for the week/month and upcoming events or business needs. We absolutely set aside Sunday's to take a break - unless someone is in severe pain or extreme crisis. We enjoy every day and appreciate the hours that we get for downtime. We also incorporate a lot of fun into our work time.
Work is relaxing to me... I enjoy it. Of course, a good cigar and a glass of 15 year old scotch is a nice way to end the day...
Boy that is tough one for me. I don't relax much in the sense of weekend stuff or vacations, or evening, etc. But I do sometimes, just not in a consistent regular manner like most people do. For me it is very sporadic and occasional. I'm opposite my partner. He works hard, then plays hard. He can do more in first 2 hours of his day than most people do in 3 days. So he kind shuts work off in the evening and on weekends. Goes places, does stuff, etc. I on the other hand kind of spread work out over long long times and lots of little breaks or play in the middle. And I'm most productive at this time of day late late evening....it is 1:33am now. I been sizzling busy with productive work since I hit my desk about 9pm....but the rest of 12 hours today prior since I got out of bed has been fairly unproductive with maybe 1 or 2 hours of actual productive work during the whole day until it was 9pm. So people think I don't relax ever, but really I'm sort of always relaxing. And because me and my partner are so different, I tend to think there is not a right answer to that question. So that is my answer.
plan time off; literally put it in my calendar
I don't :) Well.. at some point just turn off your phone, switch your laptop to offline mode. In Finland a perfect place to do this is your summer cottage!
With a website business, it is very easy to make free time!
My motto is work hard and play hard!
