How do you balance work with relaxation?
Turn off the cell phone and the computer for a specified number of hours a day.
Schedule vacations regularly.
Schedule "me-time" regularly.
There is no difference between work and relaxation for me.. my work desk is my rest place, my table is my GOD
In general the balance tends to tip firmly in the direction of work. However for a few weeks a year I get on a plane and leave all communication devices at home. No internet, no phone, no computers. I take in another culture and give my brain a rest so I can return ready with new ideas and a new fresh perspective.
Well I live in the Caribbean so it's sun, sea and relaxation really but outside of that I listen to music alot because I Dj as well and that really helps me unwind every day.
I don't, I enjoy work, if i think its time to relax i find something fun to do rather then shutting the computer. I'm sure one day i'll master switching off.
It's often difficult but my husband and I have a rule that the phone goes off at 6pm and we never discuss work outside of office hours. Having a daughter at school we take time off during school holidays to do activities with her. Our weekends are always family time.
As I work from home and my disability means most days I have to relax, even if I do begrudge doing so, I find that I have to relax. I do take time out twice a week to not be working and spend time with my family like going out for a meal or visiting people. I have a tendency to work really long hours and finish at around 11pm but at least I get to do that while still maintaining a conversation with my other half. I also try to spend quality time with my four year old son every day, just like I did when I was a single mum and full time employee. I love my job, so it's never a chore having to work. I even find my crafting relaxing and if things all get too much, I spend time creating a new product to unwind.
Enjoying life is very important to me. We're only on this earth for a short time - make the most of it is my moto.
This is probably my weak link. I work a lot and I don't have the balance I would like in my life at this time.
Difficult at times,,, but I manage to get in enough time away from photoshoots and the laptop to retain my sanity. The bike is my therapist lol
I haven't figured that out yet, so my goal is love what you do.
every single night i did listening brainwave therapy to freshing my brain for tomorrow, hope gonna be more best experience.
