Instead of painting is filing in studio with dust, some people will hung on their wall and showing to friend, that's more worth and wonderful to have someone take care your painting, and appreciate so much, just like giving daughter to someone, so as long as they take care daughter well, it's happy.

I have felt that some pieces are hard to let go of, but, I also think that selling a piece of work, however much I may love it, helps me produce more art, which is the point.
