Does it pain you to let go of a piece you have sold?
NO
Sometimes, but usually by the time I've finished a painting I'm done with it. If I don't want to let it go, I don't.

The answer is usually no as I achive great joy of someone taking the time to choose my art work for what ever connection that they have with the painting.
I do have a couple of art pieces hanging on my walls that are not for sale. The joy of selling someone a never to be repeated art work is pretty special to me.
No, a piece being sold establishes intent.
In this question I the supporter of what is better to present to that person to which it it is necessary, than to sell to that to whom it and it is not necessary.
It actually does because of the work it took to make that piece. It also represents you in your style and your interpretation of that piece.
No...why would it pain me? After all, my piece is my piece any where, even though it has been sold. Other people who see it there would know i made it.

No not really. If it makes someone happy to have a piece of my work then I am happy too. One should always let go. I keep good quality photos of all my work and that's enough for me. |
