Does history exist? Art is a human activity converting a black and white world into colour. It does not save, it salves. Art is reality, everything else is politics.
Babies, human babies, cannot exist on their own for about seven years. During that time they need to be supported and taught basic survival skills. After seven years they can just begin to exhibit self-survival skills. Human life is like this in a society. Humans need to be supported and taught life skills in order to understand, appreciate, and value life beyond mere survival. Art is the tool, the medium, the universal teacher of skills that are required to be an effective and fulfilled human.

birds do it ? try to imagine a world with no music, no art, no culture, no cinema, no no no...as in jails, hospitals, how much time would you like to spend there ? in the forest, or the woods, in a field full of horses, on in the beach art is in the rocks, under the oceans it is sculpted in stones by nature, and it is there for those who see to guide those who one day will need to be busy doing some art to overcome sadness, lonelyness,forget their illness, express their gratitude, love, apreciation of others to love, art is as necessary as love to our equilibrium, and as we bury it, crime and madness becomes more frequent in our societies...
