Is art necessary?
Absolutely. The more I get involved in my craft and experience other medias of art, I realize just how important art is and really (as shamed as I am to tell) never looked at it that way before.
I realize how stimulating art is for people, both artists and non-artists. I believe it opens up a world of creativity. In my personal opinion, I also believe that creativity is a great survival tool in life.
I think many people out there that really do not think they have a "creative bone in their body", are just not allowing their own minds to be open to it. Everyone has their own unique creativity. It is just a matter of who and how someone expresses it.
YES! Certainly necessary for me, it is all I know.

I guess there's a reason it's been around since earliest man. It cannot be removed from humanity.
Not particularly, but it's something many people enjoy. Some people believe it's vital for their sanity, but I don't see how that can work as many a great artist were great because they WERE insane...
I think it is not only necessary, it is vital. For me, the world seems like a pretty bland place without art.

Art is a natural occurrence that has a place, as such it is as necessary as any other aspect of things.
