Well, I already have the proof of my speculations and theorisations, and the implication is that if I were able to stabilise the results I could build a perfect time machine instead of one which is a bit, well, erratic.
Understanding where crop plants came from and how human influence caused them to evolve and change can be essential in further crop manipulation. Understanding how Native Americans shaped the environment around us helps us to understand the ecosystem, how it reacts to outside elements and influences. It can also teach us about how we live, or should live and what the planet will sustain.
None whatsoever, at least not that I can tell. :) However, since my purpose is to enhance understanding about fundamental particles, and perhaps also about the fabric of spacetime, there may be future applications that are currently inconceivable.
I deliberately picked a fundamental research question, and it has lead to a wealth of interesting questions and potential applications. Here are just two.
The protein I chose to study, Centromere Protein A (CENP-A), is thought to be an essential part in making a functional synthetic human chromosome. So understanding how CENP-A is targeted and stabilized on DNA is important for understanding how to prevent and treat cancer, and also has applications in gene therapy.
My findings also suggest that CENP-A has a role in DNA repair, which is relevant for improving outcomes of chemotherapy and radiation treatments for cancer.

As is the now emergent NEW educational CONTENT, models of self governance and business and methods of teaching; sustainable human development, in the NEW cognitive and behavioral social science of "Receiving, to give(sm)" as is cognitive sceince's NEW first prinaiple; that as well applies in genetics and neuroscience, as their NEW methods. As will NOW span NEW sunrise 'IT' industries and businesses globally, that will create a vast and compelx NEW value added set of NEW business applications, for all the SEs, social networks and computer software and platform and portable devices, and their Internet portals and servers globally, in language and culture specific terms. This will creat in the US and G-20 an entire NEW sector of the economy as is "human health and wellness services," driven by this NEW science and its "enabling technologies."

My industrial research brought to the development of molecular diagnostic kits for some genetic diseases and Hepatitis C genotyping kit; the latter one is necessary to establish the appropriate Hep C therapy and limit side effects of the antiviral drugs which can be quite harsh when taken for prolonged period, as it is necessary when treating Hep C.
More and more successful projects in research and technological development.
My research ideally will identify proteins that can be targeted by drugs in certain diseases, including cancer. How efficient these drugs will be depends on the nature of the proteins identified and their role in cell biology.
A safe and fair world where governments no longer feel the need to have nuclear weapons to maintain their security. |
