Must an artist reinvent him/herself everyday?
I dont consciously reinvent myself. But if you are open to change, willing to take risks, inevitably you will reinvent yourself a multitude of times throughout your career. But like Picasso who had so many diverse styles and epochs his true message was always underlying his works. That to me is critical, to always remain true to yourself.

Not reinvent but discover. We often aren't even aware of who we really are, and if we don't discover the multifaceted depths of who we are, how are we to truly reinvent ourselves?
No. An artist will always strive to improve. Sometimes improvement means continuing to do what you've always done--better. Sometimes it requires reinvention, but if what you're doing works, why change it?
real artist have a special essence.he can choose and change trendy ways or colours,if that won't spoil his essence.

Probably not. But I don't think doing the same thing all the time is particularly healthy.

its not a must, it is iconic and nice to follow your pre-determined path, but you should be able to be open for reinvention, to be more capable of doing well in different perspectives of your work.
I don't think they must - they just do. Art is ever evolving and those who create it are constantly testing out new ideas. If they weren't they would become bored with what they do and most likely stop creating art.

Reinvention is not mandatory at all.
Every artist evolves, an artist evolves as a person and an artist's work will also evolve, just because it's going to happen. And it something that one must be open to, but it doesn't have to be forced and one doesn't cue in a change, it just happens.
An artist should reinvent himself if it's the time to do so.

I dont mind. You do what you want. It is very likely that one will change over time along with his craft
I wouldnt say reinvent... I have my own style. My own way of doing things this is it this is me. not sure I would be able to reinvent that. Im kinda " I AM WHO I AM" I know alot of people in the art world get bored very easily.
so you do have to keep up a blog keep up with facebook keep up with twitter.
but I wouldn't say I reinvent myself as in change anything. Keep up with styles and trends ya incorporate some maybe but in the end... its just me. |
