I would use current, realistic, or representational to describe my art/style.
Not really, just strictly my personal views.
I can be. that's hard to say, because it depends on what the client is looking for as far as style goes.
I have to look up first what the current definition of postmodern is...hold a second...okay- that's some fine art crap that I don't subscribe to or care about, blah blah blah, haha. I'm a guy who likes to draw and create. I care little about all the art "politics" and attempts at categorizing or defining genres. Really, who cares?
That question made me laugh.
I don't like to put labels on myself or my work.
I don't believe I have a choice. Modernism, ironically, is a very old idea at this point.
Not really. We have such a rich resource in all history of art that we need to continually use it to mold the variety of ideas we create.
Yes, in some ways I do, but I always look to Art History for inspiration and guidance. I cannot be exactly like the masters of days gone by, but I can add my own style and sensibilities to works akin to theirs.
