Do you consider yourself postmodern?
In many ways I believe that I am a postmodernist. I use what has been done in the past as a loose guide but do not let that define me as an artist. As far as creation of my artwork, I tend to do what feels right and experiment as I go. The mediums I use are not pushing any boundaries but I like to think my thought process and execution does.

Post-post-postmodern. Pre modern and even a little classical.
My style is cartoony for the children’s books but if I paint in the traditional way with canvas and paint brush then I'm a realist.

I don't know if it's possible for someone in my generation to not be postmodern. We are taught to question everything, find fault in everything, and then move on and do the best with what we're left with.
"Modern" used to mean "new". So does "post" "modern" mean "old"?
I have no choice about being "Contemporary". Those labels are for others to make. |
