Which gives more satisfaction: to surpass a rival, or to surpass yourself?

Whohub

I love winning, but I would have to saying surpassing myself. There is nothing I can't do & when I reach a goal I know I'm not far away from breaking a new one I've set for myself.

No question it is about surpassing yourself.

first i surpassed myself, and now i'm surpassing my rivals.

I am in constant competition with myself. Surpassing myself brings me so much satisfaction! I try to beat myself each year at Daphne' s Headcovers and every day in golf/tennis/hiking/sailing and mountain biking. The result is that I have a lot of bruises and good stories but in the end I win each year :)!

The great satisfaction I get as a fighter is see myself improving every day.

Surpassing yourself.... Only joking, beating another Paintball team is fantastic, way better and surpassing yourself!

Definitely to surpass myself - it is the best way to improve.

Surpassing yourself is a sign that your improving as a fighter. That being said kicking a rivals ass feels great and gives me a lot of satisfaction.

which we have for the last 6 years.

we always enjoy when we see our ex-interns work all over the world at the best jobs!

To surpass myself, definitely. While rivals keep me driven to do better, in the end, the only person I can really beat is myself.
