Whohub

Golf is my game . . . as PG Wodehouse has said, "the Noblest Enterprise Known to Man."

my golf blog has the answers to any question one might ask, and I cannot bear to repeat myself. . . .more than necessary . . . like Johnny Carson observed about his stint on the Tonight Show, when he was retiring . . . "I've said everything I ever wanted to say . . . TWICE!"

Football.

I did play myself, I still do though I am getting too old and clumsy for that.
Now i rather talk about it, write about it and bet.

I am a retired Professional Bodybuilder with the International Federation of Bodybuilders. From 1983 - 1996, I trained 5-6 days a week, with weights, adhered to a strict bodybuilder diet, most of the time, and added cardio vascular exercise to my routine as the competitive season approached. Today, I train 3 times a week with weights, take a Yoga Class once a week and run a mile on Wednesdays when I teach Boot Camp.
I am very committed to the Wellness Lifestyle, however, since I am a retired Pro Athlete, my level of activity is not as high as it once was.

I used to play competitive tennis in the eightees. I have played for college and represented the state in India. I have won about 8 intercollegiate titles and won thee open tournaments in the USA. I reached the round of 36 in the mens nationals and the Junior nationals. Till recently I played inter- club division B in Madras.

I am a swimmer and a snooker liker

I am a basketball fanatic - I currently play on a weekly basis with a bunch of "regulars" and hangers-on. We go full-court, games to 21 (shots counting as 2's and 3's), and it's 2 hours of play, so we get in about 4-5 games each week.

I have coached my older sons in the past, I have officiated youth games (for fun and for profit), and I am an inveterate Syracuse University fan. My Orange are, to date 24-1, and ranked either second or third, depending on the poll. Rautins-Onuaku-Jackson-Triche-Johnson: the starters; Joseph-Jardine-Jones: off the bench. This team is tight!

I look forward to March Madness and hope that The Orange can pull off title number 2.

I'm also looking forward to coaching my 4-year-old son, Caleb, in hoop as well as any other sport he might decide to try out. He's already discussed football, baseball, soccer, etc.

In general terms, I've been a sports fan all my life. My father - Walt - was a college/high school football official (head linesman) and a high school basketball official, as well as Commissioner of Board #6 in Connecticut. I wrote sports news for the local newspaper for my high school (Woodrow Wilson) in Middletown, CT for 3 years - all six sports (football & cross-country in the fall; basketball & swimming in the winter; baseball & track and field in the spring). Back in those days, we didn't have organized teams for the girls - all they had then was intramural.

tennis, I socially play

I love boxing... Boxing is my life.
