TECHNOLOGY
What advice do you have for those reluctant to try new technologies?
Give it a shot, you can't avoid it forever!
Do research, test or pilot the technology to define how you want/need it to work, and then do a phased roll-out.
You're afraid of the new stuff because you don't know how it works? Then unless you can explain your bedroom lamp, your car, your lawnmower, your television, your refrigerator and your microwave, you can't use them. Sit quietly in the dark.
Just don't break anything, and stay off the servers! Just kidding, try to have fun creating your visions for others.
Follow your feelings instincts. Not all technologies will make your life better if you use them. Some will definitely make your life worse. It is up to you to decide. Just because everyone else is using something, doesn't make it "good". Just because no one else is using it, doesn't make it "bad". It is up to you what to do with the time and energy of your life.
New technologies can improve our lives and the lives of those that are not as lucky as we are.
"just do it!"
It is not a bad thing to be reluctant and questioning.
That try not to be so reluctant, the changes are there not to be experimented but to be used.
Take an "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach. However, adopt new tech slowly and evaluate the price vs return on any investment. |
