Huh?
Creating something that didn't exist before.
Art is everything.
I don't presume to know, but I like to think that the very best art is some representation of one's soul, or humanity - to be left behind, to perhaps influence the souls and humanity of others.
Art is a means of self expression and communication.
Art is a multitude of dimensions to see ourselves in our culture.
Art is too subjective to give a proper explanation. My view of art will always differ from another artists point of view.
Whatever the observer takes it to be! Once upon a time, some poor Caveman had just finished painting a cavern system with images of Mammoths and antelopes, and when he stood back someone behind him said “It’s not to my taste, but I can tell a lot of work has gone into it!” So I suppose it’s a question of taste and perspective.
Art is the barometer of our culture.
As much as we are in a continual mode of change and adapting we never should stray too far from the basics of disciple, hard work, and revisiting the artists before us as we grow in our adventures of maturity as a person and artist.
Anything you want it to be.

Art is anything that makes you think and take a second look! Art is expression! Art is the reaction your mind makes as it bounces off ideas, sounds and subjects!
