What is art?
Art for me is expressing myself using vibrant and rich colours.
A conscious effort to create something meaningful.
The product of creativity.
I mean, usually that's all it is. Obviously there's form + function but hypothetically:
if I creatively go outside and slap somebody with a fish DAMN that's creative but the result is art AND assault. Better for art just to be art.
Any medium that evokes an emotional response? I guess that's a well rounded approach to the question. But art is very subjective and opinon based.
Simply: art is life...it represents life, or my interpretation of life. It is beauty. It sometimes shocks, awakens, disturbs, and enlightens us. It is expression at its best.
Anything.
Wow, Art is so subjective. What is art to one person maybe junk to another.
It depends on what style and direction in art you are.
There are dozens of totally different art-style and directions in art.
Figurative, non-figurative, renaissance, baroque, rococo, expressionism, impressionism, cubism, fauvism, Der Blaue Reiter, Bauhaus, action-painting, Cobra, surrealism, meta-realism, pop-art, digital art, etc, etc, etc.
People who like only figurative art may not like non-figurative modern art.
People who like pastel colours may like the impressionists but may dislike the work of Paul Klee or Jackson Pollock. It's all about the personal taste of people.
There is no precise definition of what "art" is.
Art can trigger emotions in the hearts of people.
Or people can just try by cold mental reasoning to find an explanation for themselves when they watch a modern artwork they don't understand.
For one person art can be emotions and for another person the philosophy behind the artwork is more important than the artwork itself.
Art could well be emotions!
To me it is .
To me art is emotions. | | |
Art is for me the expression from the soul. Or as Wiliam Blake said Art is the tree of life.
expression of the human
Art is the beginning of everything. Art is pure creation. Even if I am not a religious person, I can not help thinking about art as the work of God himself, as pure creation. It is such a powerful primordial energy that it will connect deeply with all of us in a way or another. That is why sometimes you just "love something" but can not really put your finger on it or explain why...It is your deep "art dna" at work for you...
Uhhhh, that's a hard one...
"I don't know, but I know when I see it"? isn't a very good answer is it.
even with an education in Graphic Design and Art History, I don't think there's a good short answer to this one.
I think a lot of what defines what is art: depends on the adrenal or emotional rush the artist communicates in making their work... and which hopefully is paralleled in the viewer or the work.
Everything.
What is not art ? I see everything as art .. I see the beauty in everything .. I tend to have a positive outlook on life .. I see life as art ...
any thought.memory.idea.feeling you want out:) its the naked soul out in the wild
