How is an idea born? For you, what is inspiration?

Ideas for pieces of art stem from environmental stimuli. Inspiration can come from the little things in life, like objects seen in the street or words, conversations, and songs you hear. To me, inspiration is that moment when things just seem to click, or fall into place, and suddenly you just know exactly what to do.

Idea is something wonderful that cames when it pleases and you can't just make them. With them sometimes comes inspiration, which helps making the idea come true.

Ideas for me come pretty randomly, from all places. I usually take bits of things that I've seen that inspire me and combine them into something new. For example, a tree with old, twisted roots, a pattern in the wood grain on a desk that looks like a creature's face, the colors on an autumn leaf. Once I'm inspired by something small like that, it often builds up to a full on painting, the face I saw in the wood becomes a dragon, and the colors I saw in the leaf become the pattern on its hide.

Music plays an important role for me, when mulling over ideas. It's nice to just be able to space out and mull over the ideas I have in my head, and polish them into something solid.

Looking at the work of other artists can be very inspiring as well. Recently I've been struck by the amazing lighting some people put into their paintings and drawings, and it's inspired me to push myself to become better at incorporating interesting lighting schemes in my work.

Ideas are usually born from a whim. I will often have sudden moments of inspirations, in which I will shut myself in a room and skecth out a ton of scribbles and doodles.

An idea is born out of inspiration. Or in my case, out of random. Usually while I'm listening to music or I'm deep in thought, poetry starts running through it's head, depending upon my mood to set it's tone. I'll be working on a test, or listening to a lecture, and out of the blue, here comes an idea for a picture! I look around, see the sights, and hey! There's a pose that'd make a good photograph! It all just comes as it is, with no limits or expectations. Dreams, reality, or instruction, inspiration is about as random as the weather of my city St. Louis for me. And though it can be a pain in the ass sometimes, I enjoy it as well.

Reading current events while sitting in a quiet place and after I have had a horrendously torrent but sensational time with a woman.

Beauty, tension, necessity, relationship

I am inspired by what is important to me. I started making Judica objucts a year ago because my faith is a very important part of my life. I think that creating with love makes that object more special. It shows in your work.

Any ideea that i have is a special kind of gift, so i see. The rest follows from the point of meeting between my way and the action i take. First i see everything then it is born on canvas or paper (for writing). Sometimes the idee "is sleeping" inside and suddenly cames to its own life.
Inspiration is for me a sort of opening to see the unseen.

I watch an animal, learn about them then its easy to paint their portrait. For instance I never had painted a dog till I met this kooky little pug. Then I HAD to paint his picture. Or I watch the birds while I have my coffee, I HAD to paint the Junco Bird. It's a matter of the painting speaking to me and I listen and do what I am told.
Mostly though its the felines that grab my attention. I live with 11 of them so I have alot of inspiration.

My inspiration comes from so many places! Movies, music, magazines, other artist's, photos, the changing seasons, and my own day to day experiances. I often paint pictures of things that make me happy. For instance, landscapes featuring old farmhouses are often painted after watching favorite period movies or reading interior decorating magazines. Sometimes a painting I see a picture of on the internet will spark an idea for the colors I will use in my next peice.

All ideas are born in creativity process, for me its important to get the inspiration and ability to find something beautiful and also if that would be accepted by me as a viewer.

i just believe and i am a creative person so it justb is there!

How an idea is born is a mystery.
Life is inspiration.
