How is an idea born? For you, what is inspiration?
inspiration can come from outside or inside
The inspiration… for me is that idea seeking in you who gives it life, image, voice… the one who materializes it.
I believe that the ideas choose you. They remain with you a time... If you leave them expecting a long time, they will seek another person.
I am very curious and perhaps this helps also.
I believe that my soul is in charge of the inspiration... and my hands of the action... Therefore my collections have the word "InspiraCtion" as its surname.
It depends. In some cases i work on projects that have set requirements, while in other case i go completely wild.
By going wild, i mean that i start with an idea (call it idea X), and through the creative process I end up with product Y which is completely different. The take away is that I really like Y and it is better than my original idea of X.
It is the creative process that I enjoy so much! The end product is really a memory of the process that I enjoy so much. I like the idea that I have a collection of works that I have built up since the 1980s.
This is the reason i do this art... I love it. Recently I started blogging about my art and sharing it on the internet. Sure, i had an altavista account many years ago where I posted just a few pieces, but now it is so easy to share this work, that I can do more...
I also like when people send in compliments regarding my work. That drives me too.
Comes from anything, anywhere, at anytime. Inspiration is everything except what goes on in Washington DC.
No idea. Out of nothing. Out of playing with materials. Out of who I am. Out of what I see. Out of what I feel. Hopefully, from somewhere deep.
An idea is form from a Creator, either from you or Spirit.
Inspiration comes from so many places for me. From magazines, idols, old movies, even an emotion. I write all my ideas down and process which I fell strongest for. Usually if i get a great idea it will not leave my mind until I play it out, it gets hard to focus on anything else until i follow through with that one constant thought. Almost like an addiction.
Ideas are born just by the thought of doing it. Once I think of something and put my mind to it, it takes off from there.
My ideas come from anywhere. From music to random daily occurrences, I get ideas from just about everything I come in contact with.
I see what holes need to be filled, and I strive to fill the void!
Everything is an inspiration to me...but walks on our mountain trail property and seeing the new growth of wildflowers and plants really inspires me. I've done a few "Wildflowers" windows showing this. So Nature would be probably my strongest inspiration.
Life, love and historical figures and experiences ARE my inspiration. I channel different experiences as well as people , places and things into my creations. Ideas happen as i am creating and painting on a blank canvas etc...
An idea is born with a lot of thinking, a LOT of boredom and obviously work. Inspiration comes from the environment.
It can be from anything - something I see or hear, a topic I'm interested in, something I've read, something new I have learned... I often get inspiration while I'm walking - it puts me in a light trance-like state almost like dreaming, except I'm awake. (I haven't stepped in front of any vehicles yet!) Sometimes I will get inspiration just from playing around with my art materials, but more often I will set out 'on a mission'.
I generally start off with a vision of what I want my finished piece to look like, rather than taking an 'idea' and exploring that. My inspiration is more visual than ideas-based.
