COACH

When the coach is confused or lost, where does he/she find a guide? Who is the coach of the coach?

Whohub

Another coach. Coaches are professionals and like many professionals, we hire coaches, mentors, and trainers specializing in helping us to gain clarity and achieve our goals.

A good coach find the answer by searching his own model of the world, and by communication to others

I have a great pool of coaches around me. My first aid is self coaching, meditation and self reflection. Although it has been a great while since I have been feeling lost or confused, I always learn a lot about myself when being supported by a coach myself.

Personal question.

I believe that self-coaching is a very good asset. Using our own skills, tools, and techniques to coach ourselves is key. I also think that having a coach is important too. If we practice what we preach we need to have a support mechanism to help us when we need it. I personally think everyone should have a coach, and that includes coaches and therapists!

As for who? Someone who's style fits with you, someone who will listen empathetically, not judge you, ask incisive questions that help you arrive at the answers, and be candid enough to challenge your thinking. It is unlikely to be a family member or friend, but I wouldn't preclude that. I would suggest someone external and detached from day-to-day life that can help you objectively.

Their mentor or the Internet!!

I have peer coaches and master coaches if needed for advices or suggestions when I am stuck in a situation.

One of the main characteristics of a professional coach is to be "coachable", that is to be open and available to be coached by other colleagues.
Being coached by a professional coach helps the coaches clarifying and solving personal and professional issues. All the coaches I have met - even master coaches, having held senior positions in complex organisations - have been, in turn, coached by other coaches.

I kindly remind that ICF requires a verifiable coaching programme before accrediting a professional coach. Moreover, to renew the credentials, it's necessary to certify a coaching path with a mentor coach about the key-coaching competences.

As a coach I have resources available to that support my own growth and development. I have mentors and counselors as well as other experts in differnet business fields that I meet with regularly to expand my own skills, expertise and outlook on different challenges. I essentially become a student and client during these meetings so I can be open to change and new knowledge.

I answered this q already. Is this a test?

Other coaches and God- whoever you conceive him/her to be.

Every coach is coaching someone else, so there is always someone to talk to. We are a big community and everyone faces similar challenges. Sometimes, it just helps to talk to someone else to work through a problem. I talk to my original coach almost every week.
