Art is my passion in life. It keeps me vibrant and in flow with the Universe. I couldn't live without being creative. It's part of my very essence.

I'm a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a loving friend, a blackbelt, a ghosthunter...an artist.
I reinvent myself every few years, but I'm still me.

I was born in Detroit, married in Boston, had kids in Indianapolis, settled in Northern VA. I did art commissions the whole time, but in the last year I've been in a position to be a starving artist full time and I'm loving it!

I was born 1977 in Bangor, North Wales. Studied illustration at Norwich School of Art and Design, graduating in 1999. After a spell of illustration, I became a professional painter in 2001. I am now living and painting in Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK.
I've moved extensively and lived in England and all over the U.S.
I am completely self-taught as an artist.
I began self-publishing solely around 1998 and have not worked for anyone since.
I've had health problems from years of overwork.
I have taken courses at university and art schools. I read art magazines and books. I study the work of other artists.
Facts about biographies are seldom read and usually dull and boring. I have no need to express those facts about myself to others. It is enough to say that I am an artist, a mother, grandmother, and friend. It is through these identities that my life speaks.
I started copying Rockwell when I was three.
I've studied under what I consider some modern Masters at the Art Student's League in NYC, and other workshops.
I've sold my work routinely since 1995...scratched out a living doing what I love, while raising my family alone...
I am now regularly collected, and continue to advance with my career and mostly, with my most private and unending love, which is art.
Born in Liverpool, England, in 1979 to a family of luthiers, I began life with a love for art, and would sit drawing silly faces for hours on end at the age of one. My fascination with myths, fables and fairy-stories began the day I first learned how to operate a book.

JRobin Whitley holds a Master of Divinity (M.Div) from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary and B.A. in music from Pfeiffer University. A native of Stanly County, NC Robin now lives in Western North Carolina. After years of church work and working in corporate America Robin now lives the path of the freelance artist.
Graduate from the Art Institute of Boston I went on to study Oil painting at the Boca Raton Museum School in Florida for 8 years. I have worked in Stone carving, stain glass, jewelery design, and soft sculpture.
