Your biography in four lines.
I have loved art all my life and studied art at the University of Kansas. I continue to love art and to learn more all the time and tend to want to do nothing but art! I have to make myself work in the garden- but I enjoy every minute once I get out there!
Well hey, I couldn't write about me without writing about my family! My beautiful son Jackson is 8 months old. I spend my week with him when I'm not photographing (and sometimes he comes along!) My husband is my absolute rock, and as an engineer and type-A personality, he's good at standing back and letting me do my creative thing. We went to college together and now live close to our families.
Passionate, self-taught fairy tale artist. With a great love for landscapes, trees, and creators of the night. I love fantasy art with a gothic, primitive look, and peaceful with a somewhat unsettling feel. I mostly work with acrylics, either on canvas or watercolor paper. I paint strictly for the art of fairy tales, and love it.
Started studying with every master artist I could find and never stopped. Now, I create, teach and exhibit my work in galleries in major cities like New York and Washington DC and am having a great time!
I have Bi-Polar so art helps to express my emotions. I started when I was very young, but I really didn't start until I was in my twenties. Painting is a release for me, it gives me an outlet for my creativity.
Began my art career by attending an evening class once a week. Born in the Rocky Mountains- grew up on the West Coast.
I've studied art ever since I was a child and was recommended to classes at the Vancouver Art Gallery.
Following high school where one of my majors was Art, I had a wonderful immersion in classical art training at Vancouver School of Art (now Emily Carr), and then attended the University of British Columbia, earned a B.Ed and began teaching as an art specialist. Later, while raising a family, I did extensive work in fabric arts and had many designs printed in American magazines.
Now I have returned to painting with a passion and have a studio in my home.
I've been creating art as long as I can remember first with crayons and pencils. Along the way I have experimented with new mediums. Along side being an artist I teach- I believe that teaching is also a form of art- you are shaping and molding young minds. I love to travel and go on adventures. I spend a great amount of time dreaming of where I want to go next!
Born in Japan 1978.
Exploring and learning art in Santa Monica, LA, and San Francisco (USA) from 1999 to 2007 which totally changed how I see the world and established myself as an artist.
Back to Japan and start my career as a professional artist in 2008.
I grew up in a very small town in Northern Michigan/Wisconsin. I always wanted a Barbie Birthday cake, the kind where the cake is Barbie's dress. I never got one. I love things that are pink, shiny, glittery, sparkly and reminiscent of childhood. |
