born and already alive
I am a self-taught artist from the foothills of Appalachia. I've been creating for as long as I can remember & am always working on some 'project'. I attribute my talent & creativity to characteristics inherited from my parents, the free and creative atmosphere I grew up in, and Appalachia in general, where the mentality is usually 'Let me see if I can make that'. I'm always 'seeing if I can make' something.
I was born in western Canada, but did most of my growing up in Toronto. In my early twenties a job in advertising was the spring board for my creative passions (though at the time, I am not sure if I was really aware of it)! I started a business in specialty chemicals with my husband in the mid-eighties and in 2003, I met my best friend and business partner (my second business) and began teaching the art of kiln formed glass.
Born Colorado Moved to California in high school
Attended San Diego State University where I studied business (marketing/Mgt) and art
Work as professional artist and serve as Assistant Director of a non-profit gallery
Married to Terry and have the two most wonderful daughters, Alexandra and Elizabeth
I graduated from the Tasmanian School of Art in 1971.
An art teacher until my retirement in 2005.
Now working as a full-time artist.
I was born innocent, ignorant, but hungry.
I married art instead of creating it.
I found my voice.
The best is yet to come.
I was taught that the only way out of a hole is to create. I spent many years ruminating in the hole before climbing my way out, making up for lost time. The studio is my meditation room and through the act of creation I become a better person. I am working on connecting to others in meaningful ways.
I am an abstract Imaginistic painter who is based in New York City. I also write novels but under a different name.
I am an artist in Louisiana, though my work has been exhibited across the country in galleries and museums. I have been featured in magazines and online publications such as American Artist, Studio Visit, and Juxtapoz Art & Culture. My work also appeared on MTV's Real World Season 20 in Hollywood. I am currently represented by Wally Workman Gallery in Austin, TX, The Oak Street Gallery in Hammond, LA, and R. Coury Fine Art in Savage, MD.

I've never received any formal training for art n craft,I've learn all kind of craft from book,magazine and through website.
I also a graduated beautician with the CIDESCO certificate,but..i din continue on this field.

Im a 24 year old guy who started magic when I was about 10 years old.
I do not like to work with huge boxes and a lots of showgirls. My area is something called "close up magic". I try to give ppl a magical experience right under their noses. without using a lot of suspicious props.

Writer and interdisciplinary artist from Arlington, VA hops from Grinnell College to VCU Arts. The fairytale lovin' feminist falls in love with Richmond as she studies Cinema and creative writing. Everyday is full of art and passion. She spends every possible minute writing, drawing, acting, crafting, making collages, and combining these talents into multimedia projects in film, theatre, gallery work, and online content. |
