What is your message?
Love, respect, and appreciate the people and things around us. Do it with a smile, and a sense of humor.
Love and respect for all that that surrounds us.
As a storyteller, I don't have any ONE message; each story is a different message.
Learn to be patient. Learn to work with your natural ability. Learn to be humble.
My business mantra is:
"Creating Space for Imagination.."
The phrase embodies 3 basic concepts:
1. Making art allows the spirit to create and imagine
2. Everyone needs an actual space where they can go to create and imagine.
3. Collecting art brings creativity and imagination home.
My goal is to do all three, and to help others do all three.
My inspiration:
What art offers is space - a certain breathing room for the spirit.
~John Updike
Perhaps imagination is only intelligence having fun.
~George Scialabba
Every job is important. Even the small ones because they keep your mind working.
"lluminating the black & white of life with color" is my motto.
Don't be too hasty in creating an image. Take the process very seriously, it'll help in differentiating between the work for hire and something more visceral. In time I think the heart will take over and the path we'll walk will strongly depend on how we live our life.
Find joy in life, bring happiness however you can.
My art is an attempt to reflect and aspire, rooted in the paradox that as humans we are infinite spirits housed in finite bodies, leaving us grounded, yet reaching

I guess it would have to be that I would like to keep the imagination alive and kicking. My influences were all the old golden age illustrators, and you just don't see that kind of work around anymore.
Confident marks are the most interesting and dynamic, whether or not they are trained, educated or professional.
I like to ask the viewer to think about life in a more pure way. The simple can be so vast, and hold many meanings. I want the viewer to interpret my work in their own way, and come up with their own story. |
