What do you do? How do you define yourself as an artist?

Although I try not to place myself in any particular category I tend to favour a cartoonish comic style. Heavily influenced by so many great comic artists but I have always tried to carve out my own unique style and hope that I am on my way to achieving that goal.

I'm a freelance illustrator- anything that needs a doodle on it, I'll do it!

I'm a painter. I create pin-up, glamour, and fantasy-themed paintings in a mixture of media: airbrush, paintbrush, metallic pen, watercolor pencil, colored pencil, and more. The short answer is "pin-up artist" though.

I am an illustrator and animator.

I love experimenting with ideas and concepts, colors and shapes, and I like to tell stories. Illustration and animation are a big part of my creative process

I am an illustrator, designer and character developer.

An acrylic watercolorist

Illustrator, painter, cgi artist, sculptor, set builder, artist

I make artworks that involve a mixture of different disciplines - drawing & painting, collage, photography and digital media. I find it difficult to define my work because it crosses a range of areas but I would probably call myself an illustrator. My work is mainly bought and commissioned for fine art publishing- cards, giftwrap, limited and open edition prints, calendars, books and packaging design. I also sell my work on etsy.

Artist, illustrator, painter, creator of pictures and images.

I work full time to create images and ideas for different projects.
I also constantly do my own projects. I like to decorate but also to solve problems and find punches/contrasts in my work. I think my art work reflects my personality and temperament.

I have worked for huge companies on a full time basis but it is really when I went freelance that I could develop and thrive my ambition to where i want to be.

A prostitute! No, definitely NO sex involved :-) but since going freelance I do most things. From graphic design, web design, vector illustration 3D 'illustration' and just plain model making. I actually like the variety, conceptual and free reign are the words that really make my day.

I create photographic montages with tiny pieces of textures, colours and shapes - sometimes with things as they are (an eye becomes another eye), sometimes with things radically different (a rotting apple becomes a skin blemish). I merge these together, blending instances of images through changing opacity, blurring and smudging in Photoshop until they become new things that conspire together to create a unique whole.

I look for chance and subconscious surprises as well as elements of archetypes, so in a way I am constantly trying to dig into my own subconscious and create images that do the same for a viewer of the piece. So I see myself as 'artist as shaman'.

I do create commercial illustrations as well, and seek to find a meeting point of the vision given me for a piece and my own.

I am a designer currently working in watercolours creating maps inspired by original explorer maps.

I'm an independant writer (novelist) and singer.
