What do you do? How do you define yourself as an artist?
I paint, draw, make prints, get up in the streets and occasionally design stuff.
I've been a student of fine arts for some time now. Illustrations are my field of activity. How would I define myself as an artist? Well... I think I'm quite an adaptable artist, so I can create a traditional illustration and comics, which are my main specializations. But beside that I can also do digital painting or drawing, 3D and graphic design.
I paint to free myself.
I am a watercolor artist. I paint beach scenes, florals and landscapes. I specialize in home portraits and now starting children portraits.
I am a Nude Model from Toronto and I see myself as an Expressionist who works alongside Artists who create their Masterpieces. I Pose for Artist and Photographers around the world who use me as inspiration and sometimes as their canvas. I sell myself for Art, not Sex.

How do I define myself as an "artist"?
Why defend or deny the word? We as humans are innately creative. More interesting to me is how each individual expresses the urge to create.
I am expressing this urge currently in very thick oil paint on a very small canvas with very limited color, for example, but that's not what makes me an artist.
I'm an artist because I can't think straight when I'm not moving my hands around in something. It's how I process my life. It's like breathing.
I paint, draw, mess up in the streets to make spontaneous arts and occasionally design my art t-shirt.
i define myself as a funky and fresh artist! i paint when i'm in the mood. my friends are a real help. they say i draw and paint good.thats all
I experiment and create with glass and metal. I am still searching for definition. I don't think I will ever define myself as that would mean my creative flow has stopped changing. It is the constant evolution that keeps me interested. |
