|What do you do? How do you define yourself as an artist?
I am an illustrator. I make things that don't exist look as though they do with a colorful and realistic style.
I am a Children's Book Illustrator. I would define myself as a quirky and whimsical artist. I don't look at the world like anyone else and I find humor in everything.
I started selling my work in high School to friends who would buy m class projects for themselves as well as commissions for the family.
I was always known as the artist in town...so projects found me.
I illustrated books, designed t-shirts, created custom pieces for clients as well as for sale
at local art festivals and markets. One of my pieces found its way into the local museum!
When I graduated high school, I began college that summer. I continued to be known as the local artist in any town I lived in. I accepted any project to make money. I taught myself along the way.
I did everything from window paintings to custom motorcycle pain jobs.
I continue to accept off the wall projects working in any style or media in addition to maintaining my corporate graphic clients.
I'm an illustrator. I chant in front of a mirror every morning.
I am a film-maker. Mostly an animator, for SPITTOON CARTOONS but I have been known to participate in helping out with graphic novels, from time to time.
I just chose to draw since I was five.
Wow, that's kind of a tough question. By day, I'm a mild-mannered Flash animator at Motorola. But, at night, I become Manly Art! Daring painter ( and drawer) of action, adventure and pin-ups!
But seriously, the day job does a very nice job of paying the bills. My passion is the stuff I do outside of work, though. Currently, my two favorite mediums are acrylic on gessoed illustration board and Sakura brush pens on smooth bristol.
I am an Illustrator and fine artist. Basically I enjoy creating no matter what the project is at hand.
Iím an illustrator mainly working in the comic book, fantasy and sci-fi side of the business. I try to find the most effective, clear and concise way to communicate my ideas to my target audience.
I am a digital artist and I specialize in a wide range of fantasy art.
I'm an anime/manga artist. It is the one true love in my life and I'd like to have my work speak for itself.
I am a graphic designer. If I had to define my self I'd say that I am an artist with an edge. A flair for creativity and eccentricity.
My formal education has been as a Visual Artist, mainly as a Painter, Illustrator and Graphic designer. In the past few years I have started making music. I also write poetry and try to use this skill in my songwriting.
I have always tried to avoid definitions in terms of art. I like to think of myself is as someone who loves to create and it's inspired by other people's creativity.
I breath life into dreams.
As an artist I seek to evoke emotion with images, to speak without a voice. Of all the things I have ever done I love none as good as dreaming. So I seek to create dreams for others, for my self, for my work. I believe that dreams are what fuel our tomorrow. To contribute in any way to that is my greatest achievement as an artist.
For "all that we see or seem Is but a dream within a dream."~ E.A. Poe
