I produce visual eyecandy by remixing pop culture, symbolism, parody spin offs and graphic imagery. The styles that reflect in my art can be referred to as “Toon-Glam” meets “Tra-digital Art”. This artform is forever evolving, poking-at and re-inventing the highs and lows of recognized Pop icons. I’am Heavily influenced by past/present, old school/new, mainstream and underground aesthetics.
I am a professional photographer, but before that, I was--and still am--an abstract painter, I was also a graphic designer and illustrator. I currently write, and just finished my first screenplay in 2008. I am working on a second one, and possibly the novel form of the first one.
I am an artist, and my primary mediums are painting and drawing. I work in a magic realist style, and most of my pieces are narrative in nature.
Painter, mostly in acrylic on canvas.
Illustrator, mostly digital.
i did just about everything from marble stone sculpture, ceramics, oil paintings, not selling much i did 3 years of stage design and free work for student theater productions, then arriving in Montreal, Que.Canada got hit by a car, no more teaching jobs, no money for studio or materials because the SAAQ ( insurance ) left me with minimum to live on, now i draw and paint on blank "art" books, one day i hope to publish these, my paintings are in a locker space thanks to a friend and i'm hopping to return to Portugal and start a multidisciplinary art school space ( with lab for work and research ) maybe in Lisbon, i 'm a vegetarian and love teas and herbs and gardening in the medieval city of Tomar where i was born, i would also consider a living workspace with a view to the sea with other artists....if you are interested in any or all of these ideas contact me using skype... "i read, i dream, i spend time listening to friends, i go drawing in the Prado or taking photographs, i sit in the park in the shade of a tree practising flamenco guitar, i go outside during thunderstorms to watch and listen to the hail crashing in the street - these things make me feel alive and when i'm in my studio with my paintings these things come through in my work.
"i don't like the second part of the question because i think an artist is someone who reinvents themselves through their work so any definition becomes absurd."
Cartoon Artist.
I paint oil paintings of landscapes, water and still lifes.
I feel in deep great ecstasy when i sweep my paint brushes filling the white canvas delivering ideas and colors before my eyes. art is my ecstasy.
Painter. I define myself as an artist because I have to make art.
I am painting oil, and it is most free media to work with, because I can wipe off, paint on, scratch them what ever I want to do, until I feel right. I love oil painting.
I am living in Bali island and I get inspired something I can't see which I can feel. I can watch so carefully the nature and inspired me so much, sun, rain, and wind which is trinity power of nature as Fire,Water and Wind.
I am a female painter, very senstive towards the happenings around me, I get passionately involved in issues and all this reflects on my work
Future painter. My paintings (large formats) tell and show (through interpretation) general aspects of the future. I only need a handwritten letter from the interested person, the rest will flow out of my brush

I love inspiring others to explore their creativity and stretch their expectations of them selves.
The teaching side of things lets me pay the bills and enables me to explore my own creativity.
I paint pictures of figures in what some of us call "the great tradition." I like the art of the museums, and I express myself visually though traditional means. |
