I'm a fiber artist. I hand spin and dye all kinds of natural fibers and make unique art yarns, hats, scarves and other one of a kind items. I create my own designs as I work using unusual color combinations, and a wild variety of fuzzy, silky, hairy, smooth, thick and thin textures sprinkled with occasional beads, sequins, bits of lace, novelty fiber and feathers. I studied painting in art school but soon gave up the paint for fiber, which I find to be much more versatile.
I guess in the most general way I'm a digital artist, because my tool is the computer. Digital photography, 3D modeling/rendering and 3D lenticular imaging are the primary mediums I'm currently experimenting with.
I love to work in many mediums...painting, mosaics, glass art, sculpting, altered art and crafts. I would say I am an eclectic expressionist.
