ART
What do you do? How do you define yourself as an artist?
We make videos. Bella loves Photography and Beni loves Drawing.
We define ourselves as artists because most of the hobbies that we love doing are artistic and take a lot of creativity.
"I am a professional artist, every six seconds I think of my sculptures."
I am an independent metal art sculptor, living an working in the south of France. In recycling metal I make figurative (insect-sculptures - more before than today), abstract and monumental art.
My background is in music and visual arts, not necessarily at the same time, nor in the same capacity, but both in parallel and together. I tend towards a performance practice based in music, and a visual practice based in digital media. I run Year of the Glitch, a yearlong glitch-a-day project on tumblr (http://yearoftheglitch.tumblr.com), and have been working on Glitch Textiles, a project rendering images from intentionally short circuited (prepared, circuit bent) digital cameras into textile patterns, namely blankets (via photoblanket online weaving services). In the broadest sense possible, I would describe myself as being a multi disciplinary artists focused on extended techniques (as borrowed from music) for electronics and electronic media.
I am a drawer and my picture are painted in a fantasy/comic style. Early drawings from me are more realistic and simple.
I'm a creative person an artist of the mind body and spirit. I create by allowing my consciousness to flow through me. I create the world the way I see it, I see in abstract. My goal is to effect people, to make them think. I try not to define myself I try to stay undefinable. I try to live outside the box.
I paint. To represent the influences of life around me in a way that provokes thought and conversation is the definition of being an Artist for me. |
