How do you define your political position? What is the ideology that inspires it?

Whohub

I support positions that create true equality for all & real freedom. The ideology that comes closest to what I believe would be liberalism

I consider myself to be a democratic socialist, i.e. a social democrat and I am a member of the social democratic party in Sweden. This means that I am inspired by Karl Marx and view the world from the perspective that it is run by interests and that power is something that grows out of control of productions resources.

I am left of center. My parents attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison at the height of the Anti-Vietnam war protests. They always stood up for what they believed in, and they have taught me to do the same.

Pragmatism. Doing what's necessary to do what's right for each individual situation. I believe that Newt Gringrich's Contract with America was a brillant idea but that leaving people in poverty is unacceptable. On the traditional spectrum I'm a little left of centre.

Libertarian-Republican

conservative - constitutionalist (as in the words written in the document, not the invisible penumbras that are used by judges to make laws) - government that governs least governs best

To put it simply, I am a Conservative Republican. I am Conservative on both fiscal and social issues, with one exception: I support Civil Unions. With that, I also support the main principles of the Republican Party: Smaller government, decreased government spending, individual responsibility, a strong military defense, as well as prohibition of abortion and traditional marriage (between one man and one woman).

I am Conservative because I love my country during both the good times and the bad, and I am always proud of my country. I also support our nation's motto, "In God We Trust." In the end, it will be Conservatives that save and pick America back up again.

I am a left wing liberal

I define myself as a humanist. Irrespective of my political position, i stand for the human rights, be it state oppression, gay rights, female rights. As of political views, i am a left liberal.

With an open mind ...

Left of centre. Education and Health define my ideology and I vote accordingly, though I can be swayed on other big issues if they arise (Gay married, Intelligent design etc).

Humanism

Who has most to gain & least to lose? If you need me, why should I vote for you? I keep on wasting my vote, can't you stop wasting my time?

socialism was good in theory only if it colud be practised..
liberalism just doesnt work well, and leads to capitalism which creates a big gap between employers&employees..
so im gonna say a bit of socialism mixed with liberalism is my type.

All men are created equal.
